It looks like water colors and colored pencils were predominantly used. Was this the intention?

definitely:) i like using oil painting like watercolor , in order to use light more effectively and to gain transparent passes. i used a material giving a sleppery feeling like glass on the canvas, in this way i felt that i was drawing more comfortably, especially such paints i made on big canvas.

i love this anle! it gives you so much to see! so much more than just a regular one sided facing! u must be talented to find this angle in our head and place it on canvas!...*not sure it is is canvas you'd paint oil's on.

Brilliant use of perspective, and like so many great pictures, it raises more questions than it answers. Love it.

It looks like an enormous shaft of light shining down right beside a tower. I can imagine tiny people walking along the railings at the bottom of the image...

I like it a lot.

the angle is sweet, but by far, my favorite bit id the sketchy feel to it, it might just be my van Gogh affinity, but my favorite part of the painting is at the bottom with the crossbeams.
nice color theme, too.
kinda dark and vintage, but the scheme blends well.
